Money Printers Explained
The core entity of any DarkRP server is the Money Printer. Money Printers are simple entities that generates money for you over time. The printers we're using generate a specific dollar amount every second. We're using rPrint, once originally created for us privately and then publicly released for other servers to use.
The Tiers
Rusty
The Rusty Printer is the entry level printer for someone just starting out. It generates $240 per minute. Anyone can spawn it. The Rusty Printer has the lowest battery consumption.
Silver
The Silver Printer is our second tiered Printer. Only Silver Members and above can spawn them. It generates $420 per minute. It's battery consumption is quicker than the Rusty Printer.
Gold
The Gold Printer is our third tier Printer. Only Gold Members can spawn them. It generates $720 per minute. It's battery consumption is a quicker than the Silver Printer.
Overclocked
The Overclocked Printer is our highest tier Printer. Anyone can spawn it, but there's a catch. There's a global limit on how many Overclocked Printers can be spawned in-game. The limit is based on how many players are in-game. Currently, the limit is set to 1 Overclocked Printer for every 5 players online in-game. So, if there's 20 players online, there would be a global limit of 4 Overclocked Printers. If you miss your chance and someone beats you to buying one, your only option is to hunt down the owner and steal it.
Coolers
Printer Coolers are required when running Money Printers. Without a Printer Cooler, your money printer will overheat and explode. A Money Printer will begin overheating once its temperature reaches 105C. Printer Coolers also don't last forever. They can break randomly between 8-15 minutes. If a Printer Cooler breaks, you will receive a notification that it did so. Be sure to run back and purchase a new Cooler or else your Printer will overheat!
Battery Consumption
Each printer is coded with its own battery consumption. By default, they're all designed to lose 1% of battery every 2 prints. On top of this, there's a Cooler battery consumption as well. The more money that a Printer tier prints, the more its installed Cooler will consume.
Limits and Ownership
There's currently a spawned limit of 4 Printers for everyone. The only way to obtain more is by stealing someone else's spawned printers. Along with these limits, our Printers are coded to keep the original owner locked in, preventing someone from disconnecting and spawning more printers in. With this as well, if someone steals your printers, and you leave for 5 hours and come back, if that person has passed your printers along to someone else, you still cannot spawn more in. You'll be left to steal them. This is how we create the drive to raiding.
Printer Breakdown
Circled in red is the owner of the Printer. If you steal someones printer, you can click this box on the Printer and set yourself as the owner.
Circled in orange is the battery recharge button. On the button displays the cost to recharge your battery. When your battery reaches 0%, you'll want to press this button.
Circled in green is the money withdraw button. Above it, displays how much money the printer currently is holding. Pressing 'withdraw' will take that money out and place it in your wallet.
Circled in blue is the Cooler information. If your printer does not have a printer installed, you'll see the "Purchase Cooler" button displayed along with the cost of doing so. Press this button to install a Printer Cooler. If a Cooler is installed, you'll see a moving fan.
Circled in yellow is the Printer temperature. Without a cooler installed, your temperature will continue rising until it overheats. Coolers overheat and explode at a temperature of 105C.
